Vampire Weekend to Celebrate 'Father of the Bride' with Album Release Party

Vampire Weekend iHeartRadio Album Release Party

Vampire Weekend has finally returned! The band is releasing their first album since 2013's Modern Vampires of the City, and celebrating their highly anticipated album, Father of the Bride, during their iHeartRadio Album Release Party on May 9th. Fans from all across the country will be able to tune in live and watch the band perform songs from their long-awaited album live.

Father of the Bride showcases 18 new songs (it's a double album), including previously released lead songs "Harmony Hall" and "2021," among others, in addition to tracks featuring Makonnen Sheran and Mark Ronson ("This Life"), and Steve Lacy ("Sunflower"). During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig explained of the songs on Father of the Bride, "Some songs are essays, other songs are haikus. This is the moment when ten to 12 songs is not enough for Vampire Weekend. Any shorter and it would be missing some important moments."

During their iHeartRadio Album Release Party, hosted by Harms, Vampire Weekend will be performing their new music live, as well as some fan favorites from previous albums.
